In my case, I filed in Nebraska on June 16 along with my wife's application. My application is still pending but my wife's got her EAD.

I have a filing date of July 2nd 2007. My RD? A fantastic Oct 21 2007. That's 3 and a half months, more than a quarter year away.
I filed at NSC, my case ended up in TSC.
Nothing much makes sense, nowadays. :confused:
I have a RD of JUNE 4, 2007 and a PD of 07/03 and still no approval yet (NSC). So not sure how they come up with these processing dates. You are right... nothing makes much sense nowadays!!

Hello All,
I just got my EAD approved and I am waiting for my AP. I want to go back to school full time to pursue more education. If I do so, what will happen to my immigration status?
Can I continue on my EAD? If yes, How?
If I transfer to F-1, what will happen to my PD, EAD and AP?
After completion of studies, can I utilize my PD or EAD?
Please advice!

Probably not. Emergencies are typically for medical reasons or death in family. Most officail visits do not fall under emergency. Most of the decision is made case by case basis. It is upto you to prove the emergency nature and convince the IO.

Some have the July 2nd receipt date but other have a later date especially if your case has been transferred from NSC to CSC and then back to NSC.:rolleyes:
yes I am :D and there are many July 2nd filers who have July 2nd as the receipt date and may not receive the EAD by Oct 1st. I may not either. I guess I am not that lucky here.

I am prepared to file around 15th. Not pushing my lawyer due to this madness. PD will come back into picture again irrespective what comes out on monday or tuesday.

The current processing date for Texas Service centre is July 17, 2007
I-485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status Employment-based adjustment applications July 17, 2007
My receipt Date is July2nd2007 and current for EB2 PD March2007
I had inccorrect fee issue but it got resolved and later got EAD/AP
My case status show's wierd incorrect fees yet
When can i raise a Service Request? August 19th
RD + 30days
I spoke with REP or IO( don't know dialled 1-800 16621 #SRC...#1 #3 #4
She said your case looks fine
I said " what next" she said your case would be assigned to an IO
what do you guys think?

I agree US having fair consideration for illegals because of political reasons(VOTES to be specific)
but the author comparing India & Mexico having strict rules.. common...
India have borders open for Bangladesh and whoever crosses the border, with out any shame
the present ruling party kaangress is giving Ration Card and Voters Id.
Mexico we all know how tuff the law is and what they do.
So Please do not compare apples with oranges.. whoever is the author.
Now Texas, Utah, the list goes on, Hope at least because of this CIR will come to the floor soon!
here there is no legals and illegals now, no one should be allowed to do divide and rule policy.
now Legal and Illegals are almost the same on immigration thing at least.

There was a piece on one of the news shows this AM. A guy still makes Daguerreotypes (the actual plates, from raw materials!) in New York City. Basically that stuff must be like ISO 0.05 because he was making exposures from 30 seconds to 4 minutes, achieving the 'missing people and cars' effect as a result.
Interesting, you have to admire the guy's determination. A lot of work to reproduce that technique. I have noticed that with very long exposures, anything moving very fast compared to the shutter speed just disappears, since they don't contribute enough light to the whole exposure to be distinguished from the background. I'm trying to figure out how to keep the motion blur of the subjects in daytime, which seems to require a middle ground exposure time as compared to typical exposure time of <1s or long exposures of minutes at a time.
