The past few days have been filled with tabloid speculation (http://www.macrumors.com/2011/02/16/steve-jobs-spotted-at-stanford-cancer-center/) about Steve Jobs' health, with reports pegging him as having visited Stanford Cancer Center in recent weeks, presumably to receive treatment. The tabloid speculation was somewhat countered by word that Jobs would join other Silicon Valley tech executives for a dinner (http://www.macrumors.com/2011/02/16/steve-jobs-to-meet-with-obama-on-thursday/) with President Barack Obama to discuss technology and innovation in the U.S. economy.

I think what the OP really means to talk about is discrimination, not racism.
yeah - to clarify, I mean racism in practice should be illegal. Holding racist views, however distasteful, should be legal as we should be free to hold our own opinions as long as we don't harm others by them.
It is the distinction between prejudice and discrimination.
I am not racist in mind or practice, for the record, and personally argue against anybody who is either!

Good for TWC for continuing to go on but with the channels allowing them.
If the group of people want to stay out, let them stay out.
I like several of the channels still be offered and I suspect TWC continuing to add more and more will eventually catch a nice niche if not much more.

Microsoft has not beat Apple as far as a 64bit consumer OS goes. Name one consumer chip that is 64bit. Thank you. Carry on.
Also, I think NT is limited to 4 processors unless they have updated that recently. Clustering is not the same as a multi-processor machine. Unix scales better than NT, just deal with it. Apple could easily make a rack server that had 16 processors, with a kick arse OpenGL card and teach SGI a lesson. They don't have the market for that though...yet!

If I was a extremely well off person, and money wasn't an issue, the computer would be worth the money.
So, basically what I am saying is Apple needs to get down their prices in order to sell their high end systems to people who want them but don't have the highest paycheck.

If someone is going to specifically test disk read/write speeds then one needs to also look into and see if the SSD is the Toshiba or Samsung model. I for one have the Samsung model and scored higher on the disk test then his model.
+1 for at least testing a MBA with 4 gigs of ram.
I agree. I have 13 with 4gb ram. I have the slower TS128 and my Geekbench score goes from from 152 to 160. The 11" unit in test was in the 120's. I would think the 13" Ultimate would be above 160.:cool:

I believe he's referring to headsets that don't have the audio in and out jack combined into one (http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2036282). The line-in port on Macs does not have any power to support a microphone. This is why the Griffin iMic exists.
Since the Mic port turned into Line-In, there hasn't been any power on the port, requiring a powered input or amp. However, on the Headset jacks that support the iPhone mic on them, do have a built-in mic, even on the MacBook, but only when using the 3rd sleeve that the iPhone mic cable has.

Ok, but when a road changes and you don't have the newest map then what are you doing? Manually downloading is what.
I'd rather it be an automatic process.
Both methods have drawbacks: "Not always available" vs. "Not always current."
Given that I've never had a problem with availability, I'm actually interested in an app that promises to stay current without my having to download maps manually ahead of time.
Every situation is different, granted, but a re-route due to road change is so much less likely to occur than a traffic congestion re-route or other spur of the moment situation. If you're not in a 3G area, forget it. I'll take my chances with an "outdated" map than I will with not being able to quickly access any map at all every time.

Go to your applications folder and drag the program(s) to the trash. Empty trash and done.
You can try repair disk permissions in disk utility too. If that all doesn't help, put in the osx DVD and reinstall the os.

Does anyone know if this update fixes the issue of Office depositing some 'recovered files' in the trash upon every boot?
In answer to my own question, I've found out that Office 2011 STILL puts random 'wkresources' files in the trash upon bootup. What's up with that?
