I have seen this more than once. Someone trying to get their post count up? This isn't the way to do it.

This pisses me off. It's a horrible example of decadence and wastefulness. Thing of all the energy and effort that went into making this device. From the mining of the metals to the labour to shipping it across the ocean. The truck that drove it to its final destination. If you've ever given any care to the environment, this should make you mad. Imagine explaining this to someone who has nothing. It went through a long journey. Did nothing. Now it's landfill. Sickening.

Darn guys, do you think it would be smarter for me to buy my core 2 duo macbook after the leopard release?
Yes, if you can, I would wait. By March or the June timeframe there maybe further changes in the hardware. I expect/pray for better graphics, memory management by summer (SantaRosa), 802.11N and Flash on the motherboard or hard drives to speed up disk operations and lower battery use resulting is much faster operations in a large number of the cases. However this may have a small price differential ($50 to $100 more).
IMHO Leopard will wake up the beast inside those core 2 duo machines. But it maybe another year or two before the real muscle flexing (full 64 bit applications) comes about. Then you will see the real power of these chips and the cleverness of Apple. Be ready for full 64 bit operations like memory moves, compares, etc, not just the ability to address memory in a 64 bit space.
2007 is very exciting and 2008 even more.

They should allow the public to view a history of other reported problems within that area. If not, then someone else should create an app that does that and then forward the trouble tickets to at&t. Then at least we'll all know how many people are experiencing the same issues.

Apple should just buy Netflix.
The market cap of Netflix is 12 billion, add another 3 to 5 billion for a buyers premium, and it would take a pretty large chunk of the Apple cash reserves.

Not a big surprise here:confused:
I am more excited to see the numbers between ATT and Verizon when iPhone 5 launches this summer. I think there may be more VZW folks holding out for 5 that didn't jump ship on 4

I almost feel like you could take screenshots of tiger and people here would believe that they are from Leopard, since a lot of people are asking for features that already exist. Image previews can be turned on in view options, granted it's a horrible interface and very unintuitive, but it is possible. Also, the profanity filter already exists in parental controls, and as someone already said, bookmark syncing over .mac already exists.

Probably should have checked to see if it was ok to bring a laptop to school in the first place. Most have pretty strict rules in this area.

Yeah. K. keep dreaming.
The company who makes the darn thing vs. bunch of whiny morons on teh blogz.
Easy call, on who has a better idea of what's going on.
Which is why he said he is either delusional OR a liar. Basically he is blowing smoke up everybody's ***. You can't deny that there is a signal issue. It is very easily reproduced. Also it is not just the bars, but a lot of times the call will get choppy or drop. Then when you take your fingers off it is clear as a crystal.

I'm glad your not in Apples marketing department. :p
Well, its a better idea than the "I'm a PC, I'm a Mac" video on the homepage :p
I hope they really wow us with the processors they use too.

wow do iSheep ever think their messiah could be full of it? or do they just take his word as if it were etched in stone on the iPad of God? lifelong Mac user here but not an iSheep. :apple:
Jobs: "You don't need to see the internet or make calls. These aren't the Droids you've been looking for."
iSheep: "Move along."
I love the Star Wars reference!!
And I too am not an iSheep. I have a MacBook Pro and love it...am also holding out for the next iMac but I will not get suckered into purchasing a flawed iPhone just because it is an iPhone.
Speaking of Droids...that might be my next phone. I am waiting to see what happens in a few hours. Will it be honest truth about the problem or more Jedi Mind Tricks for the masses?

I have to disagree. In this case, integration is not a big deal. But in an office environment, having to switch between programs in order to take care of emails, contacts, appointments, and tasks is a big time waster. Yes, iCal has the event thingy and tasks but the fact remains that its not tightly coordinated like Outlook. I really don't understand why thye just don't put iCal in with Mail.
But then I'd have to use Mail.
There are programs out there that can integrate at least three of these on a Mac, using the internal databases. I like the fact that I don't have to use one program for everything; it usually means a program that doesn't do any as well, and it limits what you can to to what that program offers. With them as seperate componets, I can use only iCal, or only Mail, or only AddressBook, depending on what I need. And since the database is open to other apps, I can get a different address book or whatever if I need it.
I don't see Apples apps as supposed to be the best in catagory. They are supposed to be enough for a casual user. If you want more, you can get programs that allow more. Being seperate is better for this, because if you are a casual user of one but a heavy user of another you can just get a better program for the one you are a heavy user of. (For instance, I'm a heavy user of email, so I have Mulberry. It integrates with Address Book, of which I'm a very light user. And I nearly don't use iCal at all, but I use it just enough to appreciate that it is there. Integrating the three would actually make them less useful to me, because I'd be tied to using them togther, and that's not how I use them.)
Use Outlook, if that's the best program for you. That's fine. Some people don't need that much, but appreciate having the ablity to use some of it on occasion.

Among the silliest concerns I've read about recently. You can be tracked by your shoes up to 60 feet away! (oh, and that is unobstructed feet). ******, from 60 feet, I think I can track you using my eyes. And the trackee can see the observer.
More manufactured paranoia.
Get a life, people.

I work at a small embedded software development house and I am moving my entire team to Macs (MBP). We do mostly Linux-based development and we are using Parallels on the MBPs to run Suse Linux and then using X11 on the Mac to have a single unified desktop.
I hope in a couple of years to have the whole company moved over. You should see the interest from the other teams in how we are using Macs (and if they can join my team!).
I could not have done this if it was not for Apple's Bootcamp and Parallels and the Intel switch.
The world is changing!
