when i had the iMac G5 1.8 with only 64mb vram and the compared to the PowerMac's slower bus speed and less ram 2gb , it was perfectly capable for 720p , and 1080p had been watchable , ok some slight frame drops here and there.

Maybe word will stop crashing on documents with to many tables, and PowerPoint will stop crashing on large presentations editing animations.

... and crashing when refreshing or editing a graph in Excel when a cell in the PivotTable from which graph was drawn is selected. I am working with a 114 MB Excel document and I am not amused when this happens....
Still, Office is great. I just wish they'd spend more time getting rid of obvious bugs in the Mac version.

Um, so my girlfriend and I have both have the iPhone 3G. We have the same tracking issue by virtue of being on iOS 4.x - but at the current highest OS level for this model, 4.2.1, we don't get a "fix?"

I happen to have the displeasure of knowing a good many more than I'd like to, and I'm telling you there's no way that a full 45% of that student body are blue-blooded Mac users. Princetonians are a people lacking utterly in subtlety and charm, and even poorer in aesthetic intuition. They're the people who pose with upturned collars! I can't stress strongly enough: These people aren't Mac users. They're switcheurs.

I'll 2nd that there main emphasis is going to be in major metropolitan area's. and than from there they'll ramp up to newer technology.
I still say once verizon comes online with GSM it will be something to see and how they deal with the problems

There was already a very slim chance that I would buy Kinect anyway, but now at $150 it is a definite pass for me. I have practically zero interest in motion controls for my gaming needs, and when it costs that much, it gets even worse.

So i keep getting the incompatible router message. I am currently a student on a college campus where they provide internet access. I have no idea how routers work and was just wondering if there was any shot at getting this to work. I bought it without being sure that i could use it -_-. i have snow leopard and my firewall is off. I have seen people forwarding their ports or doing something with dyndns but i have no idea what these things do or if they will even help me. can anyone help me?

I completely agree with Tomorrow on this, but I'll take it a step further. If someone is as stupid as this woman seems, they don't deserve to be in the gene pool. Christ, too bad the guy didn't shake the car and wipe this imbecile off the face of the earth. Yeah I know I'm a horrible person, and talking like an idiot, so on and so forth. Sorry I'm not be some bleeding heart who says, "Oh I feel so bad for this poor poor abused woman. Her husband deserves to burn, for this heinous act of abuse. He should have stopped for her, it was his responsibility, she was just trying to rescue their marriage by not lettig him run off, she just wanted to work things out." for me, the 11 Ultimate is the beauty of all the Airs
just compare it to the 13 Base model with 1.8 and 2gb
i'd rather max out the 11 with 1.6 and 4gb and 128ssd, because 200MHz difference really does nothing and still smaller and very nice to use

On the other hand, I remember in the months leading up to the iPad launch :apple: had secured trademark rights for the words "iPad" and "Slate" by way of two different "shell" companies. Does anyone remember that? Yes, we obviously know that one of those trademarks is currently in use and it's very likely there aren't any plans to use the other (Slate) trademark at all. Given :apple: have yet to use it, it's feasible that said trademark could be used in conjunction with the iPod namesake and thus we could see an "iPod Slate" this fall. First of all, I can only see a small section of map when in an area with no coverage. Second of all, the automatically detected location on my iPhone 2G is wildly inaccurate to the tune of a couple of miles.
So move the map to where the problem occurred before submitting the report.

All i want is a smaller MBP.
15 inches is much too big IMO, at least for my needs.
I will be ready to buy around the end of Feb.
Hopefully by then I'll have a new release to spend $$ on.

It's funny, but wherever I go, I always see people with iPhones. My train, on plane trips between Chicago and NYC, during meetings, etc. I am amazed the number is only 5% - but I guess it's the circles that I am in.
As said in the article, Apple has a noticeably higher market share in developed economies, and I would assume this to be particularly true for the U.S.. Moreover, a smartphone (particularly one that doubles as an iPod) will be much more often in the hands of someone compared to being in their pocket. Feature phones likely come only out of the pockets when actually speaking or texting on them.
In Stockholm and Frankfurt, I hardly see any iPhones. Also, I hardly see any iPads. I do however see a ton of MacBookPros but almost no MacBookAirs.
I find both places very style-centric (Stockholm especially), but also somewhat frugal. I don't think that iPhone will reach as large of a market share in Europe due to the high upfront cost of an iPhone (659€/799€ for 16GB/32GB).

I think that Apple, Inc. will having a special event for other new product launches. If they do have one of these special events then I can very well see iLive '07 and a briefing of Leopard. I do not expect to see any hardware updates cause the lines have been updated not too long ago. I wouldn't get all huffy and puffy about certain products were not announced or talked about. Apple, Inc. probably has a very good reasons to why they make their keynote soley about the iPhone.
