I've been offered these at a price that I'm finding it very difficult to resist (30) from a friend who got them as an unwanted gift. I know AKG is a good manufacturer, but am not completely familiar with headphones. If anyone has these, are they any good?
If not, can some of the audio enthusiasts take a look at the specs and tell me what they think? http://www.akg.com/personal/,pcp_id,173,pid,107,_psmand,1,show,specs.html&:K%20450 :)
Cheers,

2 weeks isn't that long to wait :) Be careful who you order from online as there are a lot of cheats out there. Try doing a google search for ipad 2 real time inventory. You will probably have your best bet at target if you aren't going to buy online. Your other bet would be to go to an apple store at like 7 am and wait on a Wednesday. Good luck.

I just use iPhoto. You don't have to get them printed at a lab. You can print them on your own printer.

Regarding the subject line, can this be done? The windows 98 computer is hard wired to the router and the printer, and the iBook is wireless. The router does not have any sort of print server. Can you print from the iBook to the printer straight up? Or would something like an aiport express need to be involved?
the answer is yes you can. i just searched the forums for a little bit, most of the instruction out there is for windows xp/2000. That means you can either google for instruction. The easiest way is to get a printer server. It doesn't have to be an airport express it can be a dlink or linksys etc as long as they support appletalk which I believe they both do. With a printer server, setup time will shorter (in theory) and once you retire you windows 98 computer your'll still be able to print from your iBook. online support for windows 98 i believe will stop around June maybe longer. There isn't security fixes or patches coming out for that operating system anyways. You put your computer and data at risk just having windows 98 on there because of the worm/virus threat.

FileSalvage has always worked well for me. It's the kinda thing you want to keep around as you never know when data loss will occur and it's easier to be prepared than try to figure out what to do once it's happened.
Stop using the machine right away as temp files can quickly overwrite the lost files. You will need to boot the machine from another drive with the data recovery software installed to recover the files as you can't recover them to the same drive they were on as it would risk overwriting them or others. You also don't want to download the application to the same drive the files are/were stored for risk of overwriting them.

I'm in line... too bad no fellow MacRumor people are in line =/
I was in line! I got there around 10pm. I think I was around the 20th person in line. I didn't buy an iPad but I kept my friend company for the wait. Here is some footage I recorded and put on YouTube if you're interested!

Greetings everyone,
I'm pretty newbie for the Mac world, so be patient please.
I have the chance to have a look at an Imac G3 400Mhz (Tangerine) 384Mb (64Mb originally).
Had to swap the hard disk because the 15Gb Quantum inside was broken.
So, reinstalled OS 9.2.2 on the new disk. Everything went fine.
Sorry for the preamble but the problem is:
I have a firewire inclosure like this: http://www.byteccusa.com/product/enclosure/ME-320.htm (model is: ME-320F - Oxford 911 chip) but can't have it recognized by the system.
The "System Profiler" shows the firewire bus (2.8.6) with (obviously) nothing attached to it.
I've tried dvd-rom burner, dvd-rom reader, hard disk but with no luck.
The device is not detected in startup, too. (I'd like to boot with that).
I've upgraded the iMac to the latest firmware but with same results.
Another strange thing: on the label on the back of the iMac I read: 400Mhz/512K L2/64MB/10GB/DVD/56. So I think that "DVD" should state for DVD-Rom reader, right? But actually there's only a CD-ROM reader in this iMac... How is it possible?
I hope you could help me.
Thank you very much.
Bye,
Andrea

The company I worked for back in the day used Macs - we got tons of these in.
The box and packing all made it into the garbage - who knew? :(
I did manage to save some of the manuals/disks, though...

Hello all:
I am a software developer, and recently had my app rejected. The app is fairly simple, but in my opinion is funny. The app is a picture of an electrical outlet, and when you tap it, it vibrates the phone. The app was rejected because
"We found that the features and/or content of your app were not useful or entertaining enough, or your app did not appeal to a broad enough audience, to be in compliance with the App Store Review Guidelines."
I am just wondering if you would find this app amusing, and if enough people do, I might be able to get this pushed through the appeal process and onto the app store.
Thank you,

I have used MacX DVD Ripper Pro to convert some of my DVD's to AVI.
When I play the file in Quicktime it seems to end sooner than when I play it in VLC.
I want to burn the AVI's to DVD, as my DVD reads AVI files. I then don't have to find each disc, I can watch a disc with multiple AVI's on.
The problem is that on the DVD player it also reads the file like Quicktime and ends early even though there is still some of the movie left.
Is there something wrong with the way I am converting it? It doesn't happen to every disc I convert only some, so it is quite random and annoying.

I have downloaded all six volumes of the set.
I get all six files, and can see all movies in them in Adobe Reader 8 or 9, including 9.4.4. I can start and stop all movies with the mouse, and I find them by searching for the word "film" in the caption.

Hi guys,
The ACD 27" has 3 cables. a USB cable, displayport and also a magsafe.
So this might be a stupid questionnnn...
but once the ACD is plugged into the MacPro.. does the magsafe just hang there for no reason?
I know theyre primarily designed for the MacBook Pros.. but people who have iMacs and MacPros are left with an ugly hanging cable?
Must look pretty ugly.. its not like Apple at all..
