Here's mine for today, by trade I'm a food photographer but I'm branching out to newer subjects. My best friend and possible business partner is an architecture photographer so we are mixing our loves.

Yet another Tuesday without an MB C2D. Good luck next Tuesday, waiters (people who wait not serve). :)

I'm just glad they are not trying to run this on the 3G. I can barely keep the phone running as it is. I wish they would come out with a throwback OS for the older phones. Something to stop the constant freezing.
Just a few more months, then maybe an Iphone 5 takes away my pain. :D
Ditto. My poor 3G is one step away from being an ipod only... I hate that Apple has essentially bricked that phone. Mine is in great shape, but barely works after the 4.0 update. Retro would be ideal.
You guys do realize that your 3G is realistically 4 years old, right? It used the same processor, screen, graphics and RAM as the very first iPhone. They just added the 3G/aGPS chip to make it a 3G device. Four years is an eternity in cell phones.

"However, this does not mean these other applications are dead - simply that Apple is not talking about them... yet."
So maybe this explains the low price point. $299 for Final Cut Pro X and $999 for the full suite? I hope not. All looks amazing though!
I love the new Final Cut Pro X. I don't feel I need to upgrade unless it comes in the suite. $999.00 would be a great price for the suite, considering I paid that price for FCP alone, no suite, in 2001.

I miss the days of holovids:D I sure didn't miss much of the story then, unless of course I decided to get the hell out of a level vs reading the 'vids.
I will say, I quite enjoy co-op multiplayer even though I much dislike the story and lack of emotion.
The data pads have me much intrigued, but I, unlike some of you, but like most of the halo population, will not torture myself with Reaches legendary. (where half of the datapads can be found)

I'm really excited for the new features, many of which sound great, but I wonder why they couldn't just implement them into the current FCP interface? I'm a heavy Final Cut Pro user and really fast with the current application. I hate to have to learn an entirely new interface.
Long story short the core of the current FCP code is from the late 90's and there is only so long you can keep patching and bolting things on before you have to blow it up and start from the ground up again.

iCloud (actual name tbd) will take care of that all silently and automatically. I mean automagically!
something tells me you are not going to be able to back up 64gb (potentially 128gb) of data to the cloud free of charge.

So do we keep waiting for updated Macbooks and Macbook Pro's or not?
I dont see the MacBook going core 2 duo, but i reckon the MBP will, maybe with a new case design on the 12th?

I bet the non US growth is more like 30/35%. Amazing how they are growing like they are in the US.
I've actually never owned a mac. Ipads and iphones but i'm buying my first mac this year. So I'll add to that US sales growth.

you're that annoying friend that shows up at a party and everyone has to be nice to him, and then as soon as you leave everyone talks about how abrasive you are.
that is the worst kind of friend.
Actually, the people I hang out with have some degree of character and intelligence.
ETA: And also, most of them are gay. The straight people I hang out with probably wouldn't say "that's so gay". For those who did, I would just explain why it bothers me; they would just think about it for a second and realize what they were doing. It's really pretty straightforward.

If you think about it, it's not all too surprising that some of these "professionals" are getting so worked up and sulky over this release. The notion that "pro editing" can belong to just about anyone, rather than an exclusive circle of elites, poses an existential crisis. Apple's re-thinking of editing is also a re-thinking of what it means to be "professional". The announcement sheds light on a future in which their "advanced", learned techniques are no longer advantageous. The "industry pros" are facing the plight of impending impotence. It's not something anyone would really openly admit, but I think they're feeling a bit naked, stripped of their status.
Who can blame them for being pissy?
I couldn't agree with you more, oh the poor professionals :(
They know that their days are numbered and so they are turning into big sooky ****s...... Fellas just deal with it.......Adapt or DIE...

It matters, because it proves "pirates" are not a big problem for Adobe.

I give it one more year, and Adobe's products will be entirely replaceable by App store Apps that will be SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper. Developers will be making their money, the apps will be cheap enough that piracy won't be as big of an issue, and everyone will be happy (except Adobe....and those heavily invested into their software model, and business).
God, I hope so. I have been looking for a Dreamweaver replacement, not found anything yet. I have been using Pages to make epub books, like it for that more than I do InDesign. All of Adobe software is bloated, the new versions barely bring anything I need to the table, case in point, I upgraded to InDesign CS5 for the epub features and am instead using Pages, having to copy and paste the content over, but it works so much better and the price is so much better. I can't see upgrading any Adobe products again.
;) I agree that it's crazy to pay full price. Everyone has to know someone in college or who can at least get an educational discount. I mean of several hundred bucks, make a friend.
FYI, Adobe still considers you a pirate if you buy an educational version and you personally are not a student or faculty. So if you are going to be a pirate why bother buying a student version at all?

i find it hard to believe that apple has had almost a year to add improvements to the ipods and all we're gonna see is upgraded hardrives.. dont they have an entire division working on these ipods.. they must have figured something out in that amount of time
predictions:
Core 2 Duo Imacs
True Video ipod
bumped nano harddrives(new enclosure?)
one more thing....?

There's been a debate for years over the differences in users between Mac & PC. One postulation is that Mac people are more savvy and personable, and will do something like walk over to a girl and offer up an ear bud, while the PC person would be too socially awkward to do that. Hence the difference in Jobs' idea of "sharing" vs. Bill Gates' version. One is social, the other mechanical.
Whether it's a true stereotype is up for grabs, but I can't help thinking that Billy hates Steve for being the "cool kid" even after becoming the richest person in the world.
Haha, that's the best part. And it's so true! Walk your ass over to that girl and sit next to her and share your music with her. Screw this "beaming it over" nonsense.

I went to a best buy around Boston and asked for an MBP, kinda hoping they'd tell me it's out of stock for now.
The sales person told me they just got in a truckload of the current MBPs on Friday, and they have in stock whatever I want.
He told me in his experience with best buy inventories, he thinks it will take about two more months until the next refresh.

Coverflow has got to be the most visually appealing iTunes upgrade, but the least useful. Multiple libraries and automatic cover art are the two biggest features for me. Next, better Sound control... Does this version of iTunes have gapless playback?
